Supriya Sule, working president of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar group), has launched a strong attack on the new policies regarding teachers in the state. She has strongly objected to the decision to make the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for teachers under the age of 53 across the state.

Sule said, “Teachers who were in service before 2013 have fulfilled all the criteria applicable at that time. After that, they were selected for regular service. Imposing TET on them again is a direct injustice.” She further stated that the new stringent conditions in the approval process have caused a wave of anger among teachers. In many places, teachers are going on strike, which is further increasing the chaos in the educational system.

Sule questioned the state government, "The condition of the education sector in the state is deteriorating day by day. There is a fear that education in hamlets, hilly, remote, and tribal areas might completely shut down. What kind of justice is it to constantly experiment on teachers?" He strongly demanded that "the state government needs to urgently and seriously pay attention to the demands of the teachers. A sympathetic consideration of their issues should lead to appropriate decisions." Due to Sule's strong stance, the issue of teachers in the state has once again come into discussion. Everyone, including the education sector, is now focused on what decision the government will make.
