Weather Update : Erratic Weather Patterns in the State and Country; Citizens Distressed by Cold, Rain, and Heat
Currently, significant changes in weather are being observed across the state and the country. Sometimes severe cold, sometimes sudden rain, and at times increased heat are causing distress to citizens due to this triad of weather conditions. While the northern states are experiencing severe cold, Maharashtra is not feeling the cold as much. There is a slight chill in the morning and evening, but the afternoon heat is proving troublesome for citizens. On the first day of the year, there was heavy rain in many parts of the state. However, after that, the cold has significantly decreased. The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted that the severe cold felt in December would continue in January. However, in reality, the heat is more noticeable than the cold in January.
On the other hand, a significant increase in air pollution is being observed in some major cities of the state. Experts predict that health problems may increase due to reduced cold and changes in the environment. Especially children, senior citizens, and patients with respiratory diseases are advised to take precautions. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather in Pune city is likely to remain stable for the next two days. In the past few days, there was a significant increase in the minimum and maximum temperatures in Pune, causing a feeling of heat. However, a drop in temperature was recorded on Monday, and currently, a slight chill is being felt.
The lowest temperature in the state has been recorded at Niphad in Nashik district. The minimum temperature in Niphad was recorded at 7.9 degrees Celsius, while in Gondia it was recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius. The cold is expected to persist in the areas of Niphad, Gondia, and Dhule for the next few days. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in some parts of the country, with light rain expected in some places and heavy rain in others. An increase in pollution is predicted in some parts of North India, including Delhi. Overall, the country is likely to experience strange weather conditions with cold, rain, and heat at different times.
