Weather Update : Farewell to Cold, Hint of Heat; Major Change in Weather
Currently, significant changes are being observed in the state's weather, and citizens are facing cold, heat, cloudy conditions, and air pollution. In the past few days, there have been consistent fluctuations in temperature, and it appears that the cold has almost bid farewell across the state. Sometimes it's chilly in the morning and hot in the afternoon, or suddenly cloudy conditions arise. After the unseasonal rain on January 1, 2026, the cold has almost disappeared in the state. It was predicted that there would be severe cold in December and January. However, that did not happen in reality. By the end of January, the temperature started to rise, and instability in the weather increased at the beginning of February.
According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, the cold will be less in the state in February, and there is a possibility of more cloudy weather. Currently, dense clouds can be seen in many parts of the state. Due to the cloudy weather, there is a significant difference in day and night temperatures, and citizens are experiencing constantly changing weather. The lowest temperature has been recorded in Dhule in the state, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius. However, overall, it appears that the cold has almost disappeared from the state. It is predicted that the weather will remain hazy throughout the day in the state today.
On the other hand, in the northern parts of the country, severe cold and heavy rain are being observed. Rain has made its presence felt in Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana, and Delhi. Additionally, air pollution in Mumbai and Delhi is becoming a major concern. In Mumbai, air pollution is consistently increasing, with dust particles clearly visible in the air during the day. The increased air pollution is directly affecting the health of citizens. Complaints related to respiratory diseases, colds, coughs, and fevers are significantly rising, according to doctors. Especially, young children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions are advised to take extra care.
Constant changes in weather, cloudy conditions, and pollution are disrupting the daily lives of citizens. Similar weather changes are expected to continue in the coming days, and a rain warning has been issued for many parts of the state in February. Therefore, experts believe it is extremely important for citizens to pay attention to weather forecasts and take proper care of their health.
