Yavatmal IAS result: Father dies of heart attack while celebrating daughter becoming IAS officer

The atmosphere of joy in Vagad (Ijara) village of Mahagaon taluka in Yavatmal turned to sorrow in a few moments. While he was celebrating the success of his daughter's selection for the IAS post, the father suffered a severe heart attack and died. His name is Prahlad Khandare.

Prahlad Khandare was a retired extension officer of Pusad Panchayat Samiti. His daughter, Mohini Khandare, had successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission examination and became an IAS officer. The Khandare family was celebrating this success at home. At this time, Prahlad Khandare suddenly felt unwell.

He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, but the doctors declared him dead after examination. This tragic incident has spread grief over the entire family and the village. He is survived by his wife Pramila, son Vikrant, who is a District Judge in the Mumbai District Court, daughter Mohini, who has been selected for the IAS post, daughter-in-law Swati and a large extended family.
