In the backdrop of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, a major announcement has been made by the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar Group). The party has announced its first list of candidates, with 36 people being nominated.

In this election, there is a possibility that the Ajit Pawar faction will enter the fray independently. Therefore, by announcing candidates, the party seems to have started election preparations at a fast pace. Currently, there is an alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena in Mumbai, while on the other side, Shiv Sena Thackeray faction, MNS, and NCP Sharad Pawar faction will contest the election together.

Candidates in the first list

The first list of the NCP Ajit Pawar faction includes Manish Dubey, Cyril D'Souza, Ahmed Khan, Baban Madane, Subhash Patade, Sachin Tambe, Sajju Malik, Shobha Jadhav, Harishchandra Jangam, Akshay Pawar, Jyoti Sadavarte, Rachana Gawas, Bhagyashree Kedare, Somu Pawar, Abdul Malik, Chandan Patekar, Disha More, Sabia Merchant, Vilas Ghule, Ajay Vichare, Hadiya Qureshi, Mamta Thakur, Yusuf Memon, Amit Patil, Dhananjay Pisal, Pratiksha Ghughe, Nagratna Bankar, Chandni Srivastava, Dilip Patil, Ankita Dubey, Laxman Gaikwad, Saeeda Khan, Bushra Malik, Vasanthi Devendra, Kiran Shinde, and Fareen Khan.
