Bihar News: Former Air Force officer held his own funeral procession to see who would come after his death; Bihar incident goes viral
“Who will come to see me after my death?” To find the answer to this question, a former Air Force employee from Bihar conducted such an experiment that it is currently a topic of discussion on social media. Mohanlal, a 74-year-old resident of Konchi village in Gaya district, staged his own death and organized his own funeral procession. This unique and unusual act has caused a stir throughout the village, and many have given various reactions to this incident.
Mohanlal is retired from the Air Force. He undertook a community service project for his village, finding a solution to the problem of conducting funerals during the monsoon. Due to inadequate arrangements at the cremation ground, villagers faced many difficulties in performing last rites. Therefore, Mohanlal spent a substantial amount of six lakh rupees from his own pocket to build a new cremation ground in the village.
To ensure that this initiative reached as many people as possible and to understand their reactions, he devised a unique plan. He spread a false news of his own 'death' and organized a funeral procession through the entire village with a statue of himself placed on the bier.
Hundreds of villagers participated in this fake funeral. Many shed tears, some offered garlands of flowers. Many villagers appeared distressed by his death. However, when Mohanlal himself appeared alive and smiling after some time, everyone was astonished.
Reacting to this, Mohanlal said, “I just wanted to see who would come after my death. From the crowd that gathered today, I understood that people really love me.”
The video of this incident has gone viral on social media, and many have praised Mohanlal's initiative. Some supported his unique idea, while others called it 'crazy but emotional'.
Due to this event, the village has received permanent facilities for cremation, and Mohanlal's actions have sent a different message to society. Because of his efforts, the villagers now have a suitable place for cremation in any season without any difficulty.
