MP Prajwal Revanna Sentenced to Life Imprisonment: Former PM Deve Gowda’s Grandson Found Guilty
Former MP and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's grandson Prajwal Revanna has finally been convicted. The court announced its decision today, and Prajwal Revanna has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Yesterday, a special court for MLAs and MPs in Bangalore convicted him in one of the four rape cases, and he has been sentenced and fined 1 million rupees.
Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, has been in judicial custody for the past 14 months. The accused was charged with rape of a 48-year-old woman working at a farmhouse in Karnataka, as well as serious allegations of sexual exploitation and rape of multiple women. Meanwhile, it is alleged that the same victim was raped twice in 2021, and he recorded all acts on his mobile phone. To investigate the case, the police have recorded statements from 120 witnesses. After the victim's complaint, significant evidence has been collected. Based on this, various charges were filed against Prajwal under sections 506, 35 A, B, and C.
