Good news has emerged for millions of women in the state. Under the Chief Minister's My Beloved Sister Scheme, the January installment of 1500 rupees has started being deposited into the accounts of beneficiary women. The Women and Child Development Department has informed that the process of transferring this amount has started from January 23. Since Monday night, many women have started receiving messages that money has been deposited into their bank accounts.
Fund allocation of 98 crores To distribute the January installment, the Social Justice Department allocated a fund of 98 crores to the Women and Child Development Department on February 18. As soon as the funds were received, the process of depositing installments was rapidly initiated. This has created an atmosphere of satisfaction among women.
Why has the number of beneficiaries decreased?
The December 2025 installment was deposited into the accounts of 16 million women around January 14. However, when the scheme started in July 2024, the number of beneficiaries was approximately 24.6 million. After the state government made e-KYC mandatory, 19 million women completed the process. Of these, only 16 million women who provided correct information received the December installment. This has clearly led to a decrease in the number of beneficiaries.
Final opportunity for e-KYC correction
Some women selected incorrect options while doing e-KYC. Therefore, they have been given the opportunity to make corrections until March 31, 2026. The administration has clarified that this is the final opportunity.
How many installments so far?
Considering the period from July 2024 to January 2026, women have received the amount for 19 installments so far. The monthly assistance of 1500 rupees is proving important for women's economic empowerment. Additionally, women farmers benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and the Namo Farmer Maha Samman Nidhi scheme are receiving an extra 500 rupees per month. Due to this scheme by the state government, millions of women are getting financial support, and now everyone's attention is on the next installment.
