Harbour Railway : Great news for Harbour Railway passengers; AC local to run from January 26

The local train service, known as the lifeline of Mumbaikars, runs tirelessly day and night. Millions of passengers travel daily on the three main routes: Central Railway, Western Railway, and Harbour Railway. Employees going to office work, students, professionals, and citizens going out for tourism depend on this local service. In recent years, the introduction of AC locals on the Central and Western Railway routes has made the journey more comfortable for passengers. However, passengers on the Harbour route have so far been deprived of this facility.

Now, there is good news for the passengers of the Harbor Railway. From the upcoming January 26, on Republic Day, the first AC local will run on the Harbor route. This service will be started on the occasion of Republic Day, making the journey of passengers on the Harbor route more comfortable. According to the information received, there will be 14 daily trips of the AC local from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Panvel from Monday to Saturday. There will be 7 trips each in the up and down directions. This will provide great relief to passengers traveling in the morning and evening.

This AC local originally arrived in the Mumbai division of Central Railway from Chennai. The proposal to run AC locals on the Harbor line was sent by the Central Railway's operations department to the headquarters. Now that this proposal has been approved, the way has been cleared to start AC locals on the Harbor line. According to this new schedule, AC locals will run on the Vashi–Wadala Road, Panvel–Wadala Road, and Panvel–CSMT routes. The last AC local will depart from Panvel at 6:37 PM towards CSMT, while the last local will run from CSMT towards Panvel at 8 PM. This service will be extremely comforting for passengers traveling on the Harbor line in crowded, hot, and humid weather. The long-standing demand for AC locals is finally being fulfilled, and Harbor railway passengers will now be able to experience a more comfortable and pleasant journey.
