High Alert in the Country After Delhi Bomb Blast; Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Hold CCS Meeting
In Brief
High alert in the country after Delhi bomb blast;
PM Modi to hold CCS meeting
Will “Operation Sindoor” be revived?
Concern in Pakistan, India in a firm stance
The national capital Delhi is once again under the shadow of fear. Security has been tightened across the country after the car bomb blast (Delhi Bomb Blast) that occurred on Monday (November 11, 2025). Following this incident, the central government has urgently convened a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Bhutan and will chair this meeting upon his return. The meeting is expected to discuss the current status of the blast investigation, reports from security agencies, and future strategies.
This explosion has raised serious questions about the security of the nation's capital. Initially, it seemed to be a local accident, but as the investigation progressed, it was revealed to have links to a Pakistani terrorist module. The 'Shaheen Group', initially suspected to be associated with 'Jaish-e-Mohammed', is believed to be connected to this case. Consequently, there is talk that the government is considering restarting 'Operation Sindoor 2.0'.
“Operation Sindoor” to resume?
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, India launched “Operation Sindoor” against Pakistan following a CCS meeting called by Prime Minister Modi. Under this, political and informational pressure was exerted on Pakistan's terrorist locations. The government had clearly stated at that time that “this operation is not over” and any terrorist action against India would be considered an act of war. Therefore, after the recent explosions in Delhi, the possibility of the next phase of the same operation starting again is being discussed in expert circles.
Concern in Pakistan, India in a firm stance
Due to India's potential response, there is growing concern in Pakistan's political and military circles. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif recently stated that “the country is currently at war.” Although his statement was made in the context of the suicide bombing at the Islamabad court complex, the backdrop of increasing tension with India is clearly evident. Additionally, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directly accused India of these attacks. However, India has denied all these allegations.
High-level across the country
Security has been put on high alert in major cities across the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Jammu & Kashmir. Security agencies have been instructed to monitor the movements of international terrorist organizations. Investigative agencies are conducting an in-depth study of CCTV footage of the vehicle used in the explosion, mobile location, and samples of explosives.
Decisive Moment for National Security
In this context, the Modi government faces a significant challenge. On one hand, the path of peaceful dialogue must remain open, while on the other hand, there can be no compromise on the country's sovereign security. Therefore, “Operation Sindhur 2.0” could become not just a military response but a new chapter in India's diplomatic strength. The CCS meeting could be a historic moment from the perspective of national security, determining the future direction. Now, the entire nation's eyes are fixed on Prime Minister Modi's decision.
