8th Pay Commission : How will employees' pockets be filled after the 8th Pay Commission? Big update revealed
There is good news for government employees, officers, and pensioners in the country. The central government has established the eighth central pay commission in November 2025, which is likely to result in an increase in the salaries of millions of employees. Retired Justice Ranjana Desai has been appointed as the chairperson of this commission, and the commission is required to submit its report within 18 months. Therefore, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the government employee class across the country.
Meanwhile, the state of Assam has earned the distinction of being the first state in the country to announce the eighth state pay commission at the very beginning of the new year. Following this, movements for the implementation of the eighth pay commission have gained momentum in Madhya Pradesh as well. It is speculated that this will directly benefit millions of state government employees.
State Employees Union's Role
The Madhya Pradesh State Employees Union has begun an in-depth evaluation of the potential benefits from the Eighth Pay Commission. A special meeting will soon be organized under the leadership of the union's General Secretary Jitendra Singh, National Executive Member Sanjay Awasthi, and Spokesperson Anil Bhargava. In this meeting, a comparison between the Sixth and Seventh Pay Commissions will be made, and the salary scales, grade pay, and position-wise benefits of employees from various departments will be calculated.
How will the benefits be understood?
The team will discuss with financial experts to accurately estimate the financial benefits that employees in each category can receive. This will include increases in basic salary, grade pay improvements, changes in dearness allowance, and other allowances. By studying the increases from the sixth to the seventh pay commission, the expected improvements in the eighth commission will be analyzed.
A detailed memorandum to be submitted to the government
After the evaluation is complete, the state employee union will prepare a detailed memorandum and submit it to the Chief Minister's Office, the General Administration Department, and the Finance Department. Through this, pressure will be exerted on the state government for timely implementation of the eighth pay commission.
Expected Benefits for Employees
Due to the Eighth Pay Commission of the Central Government, approximately 48 lakh employees and 57 lakh pensioners will benefit. If the state pay commission is implemented in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of Assam, an increase in salary, improvement in allowances, and enhancement in post-retirement benefits are expected. It is hoped that this will provide employees with financial stability and an improved standard of living.
