Prime Minister Narendra Modi made significant statements about his working style in an interview given on Sunday. “According to my nature, I am never completely satisfied and never will be,” he said in clear terms. He stated that it is necessary for a person to have positive restlessness while in public life. This restlessness inspires better work, he also noted.

In an interview with PTI about the ongoing reforms under 'Reform Express', Modi said, “The work we have done cannot be ignored. However, reform is a continuous journey. Therefore, being fully satisfied is not in my nature.” He emphasized the desire to continuously do something good for the country and its people.

Major and Fundamental Changes

Modi said that his government has brought about fundamental changes in the system rather than being satisfied with small changes. “The country is gradually moving in a new direction. Through reforms, India's progress has accelerated,” he claimed. He said that policy clarity and political stability have strengthened the domestic economy.

Commentary on Trade Agreements

While discussing the increase in India's global partnerships over the past few years, Modi stated that recent trade agreements have not happened suddenly. “This has been possible due to a strengthening economy, competitive industries, and confidence,” he explained. He mentioned that during the UPA government's tenure, there were discussions about trade agreements, but despite lengthy discussions, there were no concrete results.

Record of Free Trade Agreements

Modi stated that in recent years, India has made free trade agreements with 38 countries. These agreements have been made with countries from various continents and different economic capacities, providing Indian industries access to global markets. “India has emerged as a reliable partner today,” he said.

He also mentioned the discussions with the European Union. He stated that long discussions have taken place to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement. He noted that strategic reforms and stable leadership have increased global confidence in India.

Overall, Prime Minister Modi expressed his determination to maintain consistency, reform, and strive for better performance in his working style. “Continuously moving forward and challenging oneself is my motto,” he said, indicating the intention to maintain the pace of development in the coming times.
