The final match of the Women's ODI World Cup between India and South Africa will be played on Sunday at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. However, the threat of rain looms over this important match, increasing the concerns of the fans.

According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department and AccuWeather, there is a possibility of stormy rain in Navi Mumbai on Sunday afternoon and evening. At 3 PM, which is the start time of the match, about 63% chance of rain has been predicted. In the evening, between 4 to 7 PM, the probability of rain is up to 50%. Notably, although Monday has been kept as a reserve day, there is also a forecast of about 55% chance of rain on that day. If the match is not completed on Sunday or the reserve day, according to the rules of the International Cricket Council, both India and South Africa will be declared joint winners. Therefore, if the match is washed out, both teams will have the honor of lifting the World Cup.

The Indian team is eager to win the Women's ODI World Cup for the first time. The responsibility for the team's success lies with players like captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma. On the other hand, the South African team is also in strong form, with high expectations from Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp.

Meanwhile, the group match between India and Bangladesh at the same venue was canceled due to rain. Therefore, the weather is likely to be a decisive factor once again. If the rain persists in Navi Mumbai, fans may have to be content with a shared championship.
