A severe explosion occurred near the Red Fort in the capital, Delhi. This explosion has shaken the entire capital. The events that unfolded in just a few minutes have also shocked the investigative agencies. The Delhi Police and security agencies are investigating considering various possibilities. It is said that ammonium nitrate, fuel oil, and a detonator car were used in this explosion. Accordingly, efforts are being made.

According to the preliminary investigation, a police officer stated that evidence of damaged vehicles, including 120 cars, has been collected from the scene. This evidence has been sent for forensic examination. The Delhi Police have registered a case under the sections at the Kotwali Police Station in North Delhi.

The investigation of this case has been transferred from the Delhi Police to the Special Cell. It is said that the Special Cell will lead the investigation and coordinate with central agencies as necessary. Meanwhile, the officer leading this investigation, Special CP (Special Cell) Anil Shukla, is the same officer who led the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) team for the 2019 Pulwama terrorist attack.

In a major security operation conducted over the past two weeks, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said they have arrested two doctors from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai and Dr. Adil Majeed Rather from Qazigund – are alleged to be part of an 'inter-state and international terrorist module' linked to the terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) in Pulwama.
