Wang Yi's Bold Support for Pakistan as India-Pakistan Conflict Intensifies
As the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict continues to escalate, efforts by various countries to mediate peace and de-escalate tensions have intensified. Recently, US President Donald Trump intervened in an attempt to ease the situation. Trump himself announced that his mediation had successfully brought an end to the hostilities between the two nations. However, despite these diplomatic efforts, the sounds of drone activity and subsequent drone attacks were reported in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, signaling a breach of the ceasefire and a continuation of the conflict.
In the midst of these tensions, China has once again expressed its unwavering support for Pakistan. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a phone conversation with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, reaffirming China's commitment to Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Wang Yi emphasized that China would stand by Pakistan to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national independence, describing the relationship as one of strategic cooperation and strong friendship.
Moreover, Wang Yi also spoke to Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, highlighting the interconnected and turbulent nature of the current international situation. During this conversation, Wang Yi remarked that India and Pakistan, as neighboring countries, cannot be separated from each other and emphasized China's position as a neighbor to both nations.
While the international community continues to push for peace, the ongoing diplomatic discussions and the fluctuating military actions on the ground indicate that the situation remains fragile and volatile.
