The state is currently experiencing fluctuations in cold weather. In many places, the temperature has dropped to around 6 degrees, and the chill is increasing. Due to this, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a cold warning. For the past few days, cold winds have been felt in the morning and night. The severe cold in North India is affecting Maharashtra due to the cold air coming from there. There is a possibility of a cold wave in the coming days, and the chill is expected to persist in December. A yellow alert has been issued for central Maharashtra.

In North India, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh have seen a significant drop in temperature. This is also affecting the weather in the state. In Parbhani, Dhule, Niphad, and Jalgaon, temperatures were recorded between 6 to 7 degrees. In Nashik, Pune, and Malegaon, the mercury dropped to 9 degrees.

The temperature in Bhandara and Gondia was around 10 degrees. A cold wave warning has been issued for Niphad, Dhule, Parbhani, and Ahilyanagar areas. There is also a possibility of increased cold in Nashik, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Solapur, and Pune districts.

Due to snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, intense cold is being felt in Niphad taluka of Nashik. The temperature there has been between 5 to 6 degrees for six consecutive days. In some areas, the temperature has dropped to 5.3 degrees. In this severe cold, onion-producing farmers are relying on bonfires while going to the market. The weather department has expressed the possibility of further increase in cold in the coming days.
