Indigo employees' sudden strike; Flights disrupted at Mumbai airport, major inconvenience to passengers
An important development has emerged for airline passengers traveling from Mumbai. Due to Indigo Airlines employees suddenly launching a work stoppage protest, a major disruption has occurred at the airport. Many flights are departing late, while some have even been canceled. This situation arose from a dispute between the cabin crew and management regarding shifts. As disagreements intensified, the employees suddenly went on strike, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Many passengers have expressed their dissatisfaction.
Indigo operations disrupted
Indigo, the country's leading airline, has seen its flight schedules completely collapse due to a strike by its employees. Cancellations and delays of flights have caused great inconvenience to passengers.
Earlier, on December 2, Indigo's Kuwait–Hyderabad flight received a bomb threat, leading to an emergency landing in Mumbai. As a result, flights were delayed that day as well. Passengers have been facing disruptions for two consecutive days.
Crowd increases at Mumbai airport
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai is considered the busiest airport in the country. Around 900–950 flights operate here daily. During the festive season, this number goes beyond 1000. IndiGo is the largest airline in India and is especially known for providing services at low cost. This airline connects domestic as well as international cities. The airline was founded in 2005 by Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal.
