Raigad Boat Accident : Boat that went fishing in Raigad sank in the sea, rescue operation at war footing

After the intensity of the rain subsided in Raigad district, a serious accident occurred at sea. Preliminary information has emerged that a boat that went fishing has sunk in the sea. There is no official information yet about who owns the boat and how many people were on it.

According to the information received, the boat sank in the sea due to sudden water ingress. Upon receiving news of the accident, local administration, police, and emergency teams have arrived at the scene and rescue operations are underway. A search operation has also been initiated with the help of a helicopter.

There are fears that the passengers of the sunken boat may have died, but no official confirmation has been received yet. Efforts are underway to pull the boat to shore with the help of ropes and other equipment.

Reacting to the incident, MP Sunil Tatkare stated that fishermen need to take special care due to the increased turbulence in the sea. He also noted the need for rescue operations to be conducted more swiftly and in coordination.
