Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have intensified dramatically over the past 24 hours, leaving at least 146 people dead and 459 injured, according to health officials in Gaza. The escalation follows the breakdown of a ceasefire agreement in March. Since midnight, more than 58 bodies have reportedly been recovered from the rubble, with many more civilians feared trapped under collapsed buildings. The bombardment has targeted several densely populated areas, including the northern city of Beit Lahia and the Jabalia refugee camp.

In response to the airstrikes, the Israeli military has ordered residents of northern Gaza to evacuate immediately and move south. Large numbers of civilians are said to be fleeing toward the city of Khan Yunis in search of safety. Amid the ongoing military campaign, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the launch of 'Operation Gideon Wagons', aimed at dismantling Hamas infrastructure and rescuing hostages believed to be held in the region.

Hospitals across Gaza are struggling to cope with the influx of casualties. Marwan Al Sultan, director of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, reported severe damage to medical facilities caused by months of bombardment. He also highlighted a critical shortage of medical supplies, worsened by an ongoing blockade that began in March. As the humanitarian crisis deepens, international organizations continue to call for restraint and the protection of civilians in the conflict zone.
