It is being alleged that Talathi, Gram Sevak and Agricultural Assistants have embezzled Rs 50 crore from the ex-gratia grant announced by the government for farmers who suffered heavy losses due to heavy rains, floods and hailstorms.

Against this backdrop, Jayant Patil has now reacted. Jayant Patil said, 'The government had announced ex-gratia grants for farmers who suffered huge losses due to heavy rains, floods and hailstorms. Deputy Collector Ganesh Mahadik himself has informed that the officials have embezzled about Rs 50 crore from the approved grants.'

Along with this, he further said, 'Talathi, Gram Sevak and Agricultural Assistants have looted this money of farmers. The government should verify the truth about this. Strictest action should be taken against the guilty officials concerned. Farmers are being robbed from all sides. Will the government introspect? Because here the fence is eating the fields.' Jayant Patil said.
