Kangana Ranaut Slams Himachal Pradesh Government Over ₹1 Lakh Electricity Bill for Vacant Manali Home
Actress Kangana Ranaut has once again made headlines, this time over an unusually high electricity bill. The actress revealed that she received a bill of ₹1 lakh for her Manali residence, despite the fact that the house has been unoccupied.
Kangana, who owns homes in both Mumbai and Manali, expressed shock and frustration at the exorbitant amount charged for a property that is not in use. Taking to social media, the actress criticized the Himachal Pradesh government for what she described as an unfair and inexplicable billing practice.
Kangana's Reaction
Speaking on the matter, Kangana said,
“This month, the electricity bill for my house in Manali came to ₹1 lakh. I don’t even live in this house. It’s such a misery. I feel ashamed. What is this? We have an opportunity. All of you, who are like my brothers and sisters to me, do so much work at the ground level. It is our responsibility to take this country, this region on the path of progress.”
Her statement appears to be a broader call to action, urging citizens and authorities to work together to improve governance and infrastructure.
