Kolhapur News: Friendship on Social Media and Goodbye to Home; What Exactly Happened in Hatkanangale?
As the acquaintance on social media grew, it turned into an emotional investment. A 14-year-old girl from Hatkanangale in Kolhapur district set out directly for Uttar Pradesh, trusting an acquaintance from the virtual world. However, her decision was thwarted midway.
On Monday morning, as soon as it was noticed that she had left the house, the family filed a complaint with the police. Starting the investigation, the police focused on the railway route. The girl was found near Lonand railway station while traveling by Koyna Express.
Due to timely action, the girl was safely handed over to the family. This incident has once again highlighted one thing—an identity on social media is not always safe. There is a need for minors and parents to be more vigilant.
