Special trains to run across the state for Ambedkarite followers from 4 to 8 December; Know the schedule
(Mahaparinirvan Day Special) Central Railway has made an important announcement for Ambedkarite followers on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Day. Between December 4 and December 8, 2025, 15 special trains will be operated from various cities across the state. These trains will depart from major locations such as Nagpur, Nashik, and Wardha.
Every year, on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Day, millions of Ambedkarite followers from across the country come to Mumbai to pay tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. To make their journey more convenient, the railway administration has arranged special trains. These special trains will operate for 5 days.
Schedule:
On 4th December, Nagpur-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) special trains:
Train 01260: Will depart from Nagpur at 18:15 and arrive at CSMT at 10:55.
Train 01262: Will depart from Nagpur at 23:55 and arrive at CSMT at 15:30 the next day.
Special trains on 5th December:
Train 01264: Will depart from Nagpur at 08:00 and arrive at CSMT at 23:45.
Train 01266: Will depart from Nagpur at 18:15 and arrive at CSMT at 10:55 the next day.
Stops:
Ajni, Sevagram, Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Jalamb, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Nashik Road, Manmad, Igatpuri, Kalyan, Dadar etc.
Trains on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Nagpur route:
On 6 December, train 01249 from CSMT to Nagpur will depart at 20:50.
On 7 December, train 01251 from CSMT to Nagpur will depart at 10:30.
On 8 December, train 01257 from CSMT to Nagpur will depart at 00:20.
Dadar - Nagpur Special Train:
Train 01253 from Dadar to Nagpur will depart at 00:40 and arrive in Nagpur at 16:10.
Information about other trains:
Special trains will run on the Kalaburagi - CSMT - Kalaburagi route on 5 and 7 December.
Trains will also run on the Amravati - CSMT - Amravati route on 5 and 7 December.
This decision by the railway administration will provide great relief to Ambedkarite followers coming for Mahaparinirvan Day.
