Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to Bear Full Educational Expenses of Deshmukh’s Children
In a compassionate gesture following the tragic murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that he will personally bear the entire educational expenses of Deshmukh’s son and nephew.
The shocking murder of Santosh Deshmukh had sent waves of grief across Maharashtra, with an ongoing legal proceeding still underway. In a humane step towards supporting the grieving family, CM Fadnavis has taken full responsibility for the education of Viraj Deshmukh (son) and Satyajit Deshmukh (nephew) from Class 8 to Class 12.
The two children have been admitted to the S.K. International Sainik School, run by the Ram Ratan Education Foundation at Rethredharan, Taluka Walwa, District Sangli.
The official letter confirming this decision was handed over to Santosh Deshmukh’s brother, Dhananjay Deshmukh, during a small ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha Bungalow’. On the occasion, Chief Minister Fadnavis personally blessed both children and wished them well for their future academic journey.
This heartfelt initiative has been appreciated widely as a symbol of governmental compassion and responsibility, offering much-needed support to a family grappling with an irreparable loss.
