Devendra Fadnavis : Maharashtra Gains Significant Investment Momentum During Davos Visit; Chief Minister Fadnavis's Reaction

At the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, Maharashtra has made significant strides, entering into important investment agreements with various international and domestic companies. Commenting on these agreements, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that these agreements will give a new direction to the state's industrial development and create a large number of jobs.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that during the Davos visit, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with renowned companies from various sectors. These include companies in manufacturing, information technology, green energy, electric vehicles, logistics, defense industry, as well as the startup sector. This investment will create a conducive environment for setting up industries in Maharashtra.

He further stated that not only capital investment but also advanced technology will be available to the state through these agreements. This will help local industries become competitive on a global level. Through new technology, production capacity will increase and skill-based employment opportunities will be available. Chief Minister Fadnavis clarified that this investment will directly benefit the youth and help reduce unemployment in the state. Especially if industries are set up in rural and semi-urban areas, the locals there will get employment. This will enable balanced development.

The agreements in Davos will further strengthen Maharashtra's identity as the state attracting the most investment in the country, the Chief Minister expressed confidence. He stated that the government is committed to providing necessary concessions, infrastructure, and fast approvals to industries.
