Regarding the Ladki Bahin Yojana, the state government has given important instructions to the administration. Due to errors in the e-KYC process, many women have not been able to benefit from the scheme. Against this backdrop, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has instructed all district collectors in the state to conduct direct verification.

The Chief Minister's My Beloved Sister Scheme is being implemented with the aim of economic empowerment of women in Maharashtra as well as improving their health and nutrition. For the effective implementation of this scheme, all beneficiary women were given a deadline to complete e-KYC by December 31, 2025. However, many women selected the wrong option while doing e-KYC, leaving their process incomplete. As a result, many eligible women have not received the installment of the My Beloved Sister Scheme.

After receiving a large number of complaints from across the state in this regard, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has made an important decision. She has clarified that for those beneficiary women whose e-KYC was not completed due to errors, physical verification will be conducted at the regional level. Instructions have been given to all district collectors to seek the help of Anganwadi workers for this purpose.

Meanwhile, there was significant discontent regarding the installment of the Ladki Bahin scheme in Washim district. Many women, who had not received the installment for some time, directly marched to the district collector's office in protest. The women alleged that they were denied entry to the district collector's office to file a complaint. Despite repeated requests, they were not granted a meeting, leading the angry women to surround the district collector's official vehicle and express strong protest.

This protest has increased pressure on the administration, and it is expected that the new government directives will now provide justice to the beneficiary women. The actual verification process will pave the way for eligible women to once again benefit from the Ladki Bahin scheme.
