Manoj Jarange’s 'Saffron Storm' Heads Toward Mumbai; Azad Maidan to Resonate on August 29
The issue of Maratha reservation has once again heated up. To seek justice for this issue, the leader of the movement, Manoj Jarange Patil, has resolutely called for 'Chalo Mumbai'. Thousands of Maratha brethren are expected to participate in this march starting from Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district, and the movement will converge at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on the night of August 29.
Journey of the Movement
Jarange's march will begin on the morning of August 27 from Antarwali Sarati. The march will then proceed through Shahagad Phata, Sasht Pimpalgaon, Aapegaon, Paithan Kaman, Ghotan, Shevgaon, Miri Naka, Pandhari Pul, Ahilyanagar Bypass, Nepti Chowk, and Alafata. It is anticipated that a large number of Maratha brethren will join along this route. The first stop will be at Junnar.
After visiting Shivneri Fort on August 28, the march will resume its journey. It will then proceed directly to Azad Maidan via Rajgurunagar, Khed, Chakan, Talegaon, Lonavala, Panvel, Vashi, and Chembur. It is anticipated that the movement will take on a fierce form upon reaching Mumbai on the night of August 29.
Impact on Ganeshotsav
During this period, preparations for Ganeshotsav are underway in Mumbai. Millions of devotees arrive in the city. The inclusion of Jarange's march in this crowd will pose a significant challenge for the administration. The state government and Mumbai police will need to pay special attention to traffic arrangements, security, and the accommodation of the protesters.
Intense preparations across the state
Meanwhile, intense preparations are underway across the state for Jarange's Mumbai march. Banners and posters with 'Chalo Mumbai' have been put up in rural areas, including Dharashiv district. Meetings are being held in villages to raise awareness among the Maratha community. There is an appeal from village to village for Maratha brethren to reach Mumbai in large numbers.
Final Ultimatum to the Government
Manoj Jarange has once again given an ultimatum to the government. He has warned that if the demands of the Maratha community are not considered by August 26, we will head to Mumbai on the 27th. He has firmly stated that the Maratha community should receive proper justice from the OBC reservation.
