Massive fire breaks out in gas cylinder truck in Dharavi

A truck with cylinders was parked on the side of the road near the footpath of Nature Park on Sion Bandra Link Road, South Channel under Dharavi police station limits. The truck caught fire and the cylinder in it exploded. No one was injured in the incident and around three to four vehicles parked next to the truck that caught fire were damaged by the fire.

The identity of the driver of the vehicle that caught fire has been ascertained and work is underway to take the driver into custody. A total of 19 fire tenders have brought the fire under control. Senior police inspector of Dharavi Mahim Shahunagar Kurla Vinoba Bhave Nagar police station, assistant commissioner of police and deputy commissioner of police zone 5 along with their staff were present at the spot.

No one has been injured so far, but several cars have been burned down and heavily damaged. The fire was extinguished at 1 am and the fire was completely extinguished. So the situation is completely under control.
