Meeting of OBC Leaders in Nagpur; Discussion on Next Strategy Against GR
Vijay Namdevrao Wadettiwar ; Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has demanded the resignation of Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol over the sale of Jain Boarding land in Pune. Mohol has been accused of alleged misconduct in the transaction of the said land. The opposition has become aggressive on this issue, and Shiv Sena's Ravindra Dhangekar has also tried to put Mohol in trouble.
Vadettiwar said in a press conference on Sunday (October 26), “The threads of Murlidhar Mohol's mismanagement are now coming to light. Land transactions are happening in a suspicious manner across Maharashtra, and many big names are involved in this. It is inappropriate to be involved in such matters while holding a position of responsibility as a Union Minister, hence Mohol should immediately resign,” he demanded.
Vadettywar also targeted the government on the issue of OBC reservation. He said, “Even after the OBC community protested, the government has not moved. The GR issued for Maratha reservation is harming the OBCs. Some leaders in the government are trying to hide this reality.” Vadettywar further stated, “On November 1, a meeting of OBC leaders will be held in Nagpur to decide the next course of action against the GR.”
