Jayakumar Gore questioned Rohit Pawar on Ramraje Nimbalkar's interrogation
Maharashtra's Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore launched a scathing attack on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Rohit Pawar amid the ongoing investigation involving former Legislative Council Chairman Ramraje Nimbalkar. In a sharp response to Rohit Pawar’s defense of Nimbalkar, Gore questioned both the intent and integrity behind the opposition’s statements, saying that defending someone under investigation raises serious questions.
"The Name Is Ram, But the Actions Are of Shakuni Mama": Gore’s Sharp Words
“The name may be Lord Shri Ram, but the actions are like those of Shakuni Mama. Just having the name Ram does not make someone Lord Shri Ram,” Gore said, referring pointedly to Ramraje Nimbalkar without directly naming him in that sentence. Gore clarified his stance, saying, “I have never interfered with any investigative process. The agencies are acting only on matters that have surfaced during the course of investigations. If someone believes they are innocent, they should come forward and declare, ‘This voice is not mine, and I am not involved in any conspiracy.’”
Direct Challenge to Ramraje Nimbalkar and Rohit Pawar
Calling on Ramraje Nimbalkar to speak for himself rather than rely on political defenses, Gore said, “Let Nimbalkar clarify his position. Why is Rohit Pawar defending him? What is his role in this?” He also took aim directly at Rohit Pawar, saying, “We have endured the consequences of the conspiracies you’ve created. Don’t preach to me about power and struggle. I’ve lived it.”
“Bigger Developments Ahead”
Hinting at potential political fallout and further revelations, Gore added ominously, “This is just the beginning. Bigger developments will come to light in the coming days. Rohit Pawar should stop issuing veiled threats in the name of power.” This exchange comes in the backdrop of an intensifying political battle between factions within Maharashtra’s ruling coalition and the opposition, with multiple investigations triggering a war of words between senior leaders.
