Sanjay Raut : 'Misuse of Election Machinery Ongoing', Sanjay Raut's Serious Allegation Against the Ruling Party
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party MP Sanjay Raut has made serious allegations against the ruling party and the election machinery regarding the ongoing election process in the state. Speaking to the media, Raut claimed that there is unprecedented pressure, threats, and misuse of the administrative machinery in the state. Giving a suggestive warning, he alleged that candidates are being pressured to withdraw, saying, “Rebels will cool down by evening.”
Raut said, “Election officials are calling candidates. Government officials' convoys are parked outside ministers' bungalows. This is all happening despite the code of conduct. It is being conveyed through Ro to 'withdraw the nomination'. This is a throttling of democracy.” He also raised questions about the transparency of the election process.
Criticizing Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, Raut said, “How did the CCTV footage after four o'clock go missing? Who will answer this? The Election Commission has started an investigation, but this entire system is in the hands of those in power.” He demanded that the municipal commissioner should take a clear stand on this.
In Jalgaon, Raut accused the abduction of a candidate and also criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. “What is the Chief Minister of the state doing? Is Kalyan-Dombivli someone's father's property? What is going on here?” he questioned. Referring to the crowd of party leaders at the Deputy Chief Minister's door in Thane the day before yesterday, he again accused the election machinery of being under pressure.
Speaking about the KDMC elections, Raut said, “Threats are coming from everywhere, but we are not the ones to succumb to threats. Power has shifted in Mumbai and Thane, that's why all this is happening.” He also criticized the BJP and Ajit Pawar group, accusing, “All the goons are with them.”
Meanwhile, speaking about Shiv Sena Bhavan, Sanjay Raut said, “The good news is that on the 4th, Raj Thackeray is coming to Shiv Sena Bhavan. Is there any other inspiring place like Shiv Sena Bhavan? Where Shiv Sena Bhavan is, there is the MNS candidate. This is a matter of joy for everyone.”
Criticizing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's chief Mohan Bhagwat, Raut said, “Speak in Marathi. Administration in Maharashtra should be in Marathi.” He also took a firm stand on the mayoral position of Mumbai, stating, “There will be a Marathi mayor in Mumbai. BJP says there will be a Hindu mayor, but don't teach us Hindutva. This Mumbai is Marathi and Hindutva runs in our veins.” Due to Sanjay Raut's statements, the political atmosphere in the state has heated up, and everyone is watching to see how the ruling party will respond to these allegations in the coming days.
