Big Breaking! Major chaos at the Election Commission office before the press conference
(Big Breaking!) Today, a very important press conference will be held by the State Election Commission. In this meeting, the schedule for municipal, district council, and panchayat committee elections in Maharashtra is likely to be announced. Therefore, the entire state's attention is focused on this announcement. However, a major sensational event has emerged before this press conference.
Before the press conference, it was reported that angry workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena vandalized the office of the Election Commission. Due to the vandalism of computers by MNS workers, there was chaos in the area. This incident occurred at the election office in the Kalwa-Mumbra assembly constituency. The MNS workers went to the office to question the voter registration and errors in the list when this incident happened.
What exactly is the issue?
With complaints of large-scale errors and delays in the voter list, MNS officials and workers had arrived at the election office of the Kalwa-Mumbra assembly constituency. However, seeing that only one employee was available to update the voter list, the workers became even more agitated. It is said that the anger was uncontrollable due to the inadequate manpower arrangement to handle the entire constituency's work.
As satisfactory answers were not received from the officers present at the time, MNS workers directly vandalized the computers in the office. This incident created a tense atmosphere in the election office for some time.
MNS Warning
“Do not test our patience. If the voter lists are not corrected as soon as possible, more intense agitation will be carried out in the future,” a clear warning has been given by MNS. We have been consistently following up for many years. However, if the election machinery is working under someone's pressure, we will not remain silent, it was also stated this time.
Additionally, information has been provided by MNS Thane city vice-president Sushant Suryarao that a public interest litigation will be filed in court in the coming period against the errors in the voter lists of 149 assembly constituencies.
Opposition Points Finger at Election Commission
Meanwhile, opposition parties have been consistently making allegations regarding discrepancies in voter lists. Before announcing local body elections, all errors in the voter list should be rectified, demanded MNS President Raj Thackeray to the Election Commission a few days ago. In this context, everyone's attention is on what the commission's stance will be in today's press conference.
