In a strong and emotive address following the launch of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that "taking up arms for religion is our tradition," drawing a historical connection to India's martial heritage.

The Prime Minister's remarks came after a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists opened fire on innocent tourists enjoying a holiday. The attackers allegedly asked victims about their religion before carrying out the assault.

In swift retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting multiple terrorist camps across the border in Pakistan. A large number of terrorists were reportedly neutralized during the operation. Despite this, Pakistan condemned the strikes and intensified hostile activities against India.

India, however, responded forcefully to each provocation. The Indian Armed Forces took decisive action, sending a clear message that any aggression would be met with a resolute response.

PM Addresses Troops at Udhampur Airbase

Following the operation, Prime Minister Modi visited the Udhampur Airbase in Punjab, where he interacted with members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Border Security Force (BSF). In his address, he praised the forces for their valor and discipline.

“The entire world has seen the strength of the Indian Army. Our soldiers are undeterred even by nuclear threats. From this land of heroes, I salute the brave warriors of the Air Force, Navy, Army, and BSF. Because of your bravery, Operation Sindoor is being spoken about around the globe. Every Indian stands with you. Every citizen is grateful to the families of our soldiers,” Modi said.

"Operation Sindoor Was Not Ordinary"

Calling Operation Sindoor extraordinary, the Prime Minister evoked India’s martial and spiritual heritage:

“Operation Sindoor was not an ordinary operation. India is a battlefield, and so was Guru Gobind Singhji. Taking up arms for religion is our tradition. When the vermilion of our sisters and daughters was snatched away, we entered the homes of terrorists and crushed them. They tried to hide like cowards but forgot they were challenging the Indian Army.”

Nation United by Valor

Modi emphasized that the operation had united the country and showcased India's defense capability.

“The Army, Air Force, and Navy have given a befitting reply to the Pakistani Army. You've shown them there is no place in Pakistan where terrorists can hide. We will enter your homes and eliminate you. You won’t even get a chance to retaliate. Pakistan will lose sleep thinking about your drones and missiles. You have boosted the morale of the nation. The entire country is bound by the thread of unity because of your actions.”

Precision, Power, and Professionalism

Highlighting the technological and strategic superiority of India’s forces, Modi said:

“Our Air Force hit deep terrorist bases in Pakistan in just 20–25 minutes. Such precision is only possible with a professional army equipped with modern technology. The terrorist bases and airfields have been destroyed. Their evil intentions have been crushed. Every moment of Operation Sindoor is a testament to the might of the Indian Armed Forces.”

Navy, Army, and Air Force in Unison

The Prime Minister also praised the coordination among all branches of the military:

“The Navy dominated the seas, the Army fortified the borders, and the Air Force led the offensive. The BSF and other security forces also displayed remarkable capability. Every moment of Operation Sindoor reflects the unwavering strength of our armed forces,” he concluded.
