Modi In Mumbai : Modi's Mumbai Visit, Tight Security in South Mumbai; Many Roads Closed for Traffic
A very important news has come forward for Mumbaikars. The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, is coming to Mumbai on a tour tomorrow, February 17. Along with him, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, will also be present. An Indo-French cultural program has been organized in the presence of the leaders of both countries at the 'Gateway of India' area. In the backdrop of this VVIP tour, tight security arrangements have been deployed in South Mumbai, and many major roads will be closed for traffic.
According to the notification issued by Mumbai Police, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Mumbai at 2:15 PM. Following this, a bilateral meeting between Modi and Macron will take place at Lok Bhavan at 2:30 PM. At 5 PM, both leaders will participate in a roundtable discussion with CEOs of various industry groups at Hotel Taj. Subsequently, at 6:30 PM, a grand Indo-French cultural program will be held at the Gateway of India area.
These routes in South Mumbai are closed
To avoid traffic congestion and for security reasons, the following routes will be closed tomorrow—
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road and Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Chowk — only emergency vehicles allowed
P. Ramchandani Road from North Court to Adam Street Junction completely closed
Vehicles coming towards Regal Junction will be diverted to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Road, Mahakavi Bhushan Road, and B.K. Boman Behram Road
Traffic on P. Ramchandani Road will be diverted via Alva Chowk, Radio Club, Haji Niyaz Azam Road, and Jagannath Palav Chowk
Taxi stands and BEST bus stops on Adam Street and P. Ramchandani Road will remain closed
