Against the backdrop of the municipal elections, a press conference held by Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) leader and MP Sanjay Raut has caused a major stir in Mumbai's politics. Claiming that not only the state but many from across the country and abroad are focused on Mumbai, he launched a strong attack on the ruling grand alliance. Sanjay Raut said, “Many are focused on Mumbai today. Perhaps even former US President Donald Trump is paying attention. Because some people want to hand over Mumbai to their favorite industrialists.” Through this statement, he accused the ruling party of selling Mumbai for the benefit of industrialists.

Speaking on the alleged disturbances during the voting process, Raut said, “If we had done such disturbances, MCOCA would have been imposed on us. But why is no action being taken on what is happening now?” He raised this question. He also alleged that all three parties have come together for power and money, and they have nothing to do with the Marathi people. He clarified that this is why Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have come together. “There is a saffron squad, it will also work and take action,” he made an aggressive statement targeting the ruling party. He also questioned why this exceptional situation arises only in Mumbai and not in Nashik, Pune, or Nagpur. “Nagpur can also be left behind, but why don't these incidents happen there?” he taunted.

Speaking about the voter turnout, Raut said, “We assure you, the voting percentage will not drop. There is no need to appeal to the voters. People have already decided.” In the past few days, the Thackeray brothers have created an atmosphere, and this time voters will vote more consciously and cautiously, they expressed confidence. Speaking on religious issues, they mentioned Mumbadevi, saying, “Where do you go to seek blessings? Is your deity different? Mumbadevi belongs to the Marathi people, which is why we named this city Mumbai.” They also accused that there is an attempt to impose Hindi from Navi Mumbai to Mumbai. Finally, they clarified, “Today's voter will vote for Shiv Sena 24 hours and for the mayor,” they claimed firmly.
