MNS MVA Mumbai March : Mumbai Police Denies Permission for Opponents' March
In Brief
- Permission for the opponents' march is still pending
- Tomorrow, MVA and MNS will hold a truth march
- 24 hours left for the march, still no permission
Opposition parties have united against voter fraud, voter list discrepancies, duplicate voters, and election malpractices. Tomorrow (November 01), the Mahavikas Aghadi and MNS have announced a march for truth against the Election Commission. MNS chief Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena Thackeray faction chief Uddhav Thackeray, NCP Sharad Pawar faction chief Sharad Pawar, Congress leaders, and leaders of leftist parties will be present at this march. The march will start from Fashion Street at 1 PM. It will stop at the entrance of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation via Metro Cinema Road. To avoid inconvenience to Mumbaikars, the march will take place between 1 PM and 4 PM. However, it is reported that the police will not grant permission for tomorrow's march by the Mahavikas Aghadi and MNS.
Tomorrow, a grand march of the Maha Vikas Aghadi and other supporting parties will take place in Mumbai. This march has been named the March of Truth. For this march, the Maha Vikas Aghadi has sent a permission letter to the Mumbai police. However, no march can be taken out from the route of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the Azad Maidan area. Permission is granted to hold the march inside Azad Maidan. Therefore, if the march is to be taken out according to the rules outside Azad Maidan, permission cannot be granted, according to sources. Hence, the police have not yet granted permission for this march. As the police have not yet granted permission for the march, there is speculation that the Maha Vikas Aghadi and MNS march might take place without permission.
If a rally is held without permission then...
In this context, the state's Revenue Minister and BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule has directly warned the Maha Vikas Aghadi and MNS. Chandrashekhar Bawankule has stated that if MNS and Maha Vikas Aghadi hold a rally without permission tomorrow, action will be taken according to the rules. Therefore, it will be important to see what stance the opposition takes.
