Mumbai Rain Update: Rain with Gusty Winds Expected Today; Citizens Advised to Stay Alert

As summer temperatures continue to rise, residents of Mumbai are struggling with intense heat. However, relief may be on the way — the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for rain accompanied by gusty winds in Mumbai today. Citizens are urged to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

According to the IMD, several parts of Maharashtra, including Vidarbha, Marathwada, Khandesh, Madhya Maharashtra, and Konkan, are likely to experience thunderstorms over the next two days. Wind speeds are expected to range between 50 to 60 kmph during this period.

A specific alert has been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and thunder in parts of Satara, Kolhapur, Pune, Nashik, and Dhule districts.

Rain with gusty winds is also forecast for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar on Sunday. The IMD has advised residents in these regions to stay updated with local weather reports and remain cautious of rapidly changing weather conditions.
