BJP leader and minister Girish Mahajan provided this information at an event. Once this service starts, the connectivity between Mumbai and Nashik will be further strengthened, and passengers will benefit from fast, safe, and comfortable travel.
18 Tunnels and Non-Stop Travel
On the new railway line, a third and fourth line will be constructed between Kasara and Manmad. Approximately 18 tunnels will be built on this route, which will make railway transport through the Sahyadri mountain range faster. This new route will provide passengers with non-stop travel facilities, making the journey from Mumbai to Nashik much easier in terms of time.
Major Stations and Facilities
Currently, the Central Railway's local service is only up to Kasara, but with this new project, major stations like Kasara, Igatpuri, and Deolali will be developed between Kalyan and Nashik Road. Passengers on this route will have access to many useful facilities such as amenities, parking, waiting rooms, and digital ticketing systems at the stations.
