Sakshi Kamble, a young woman studying at KSK College in Beed, committed suicide by hanging herself at her maternal uncle's house in Dharashiv on March 24, fed up with harassment and blackmail. After this shocking incident, a wave of anger has erupted in the state, and demands are being made from various quarters that Sakshi's family should get justice. Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council Neelam Gorhe went to Beed today, Tuesday, and paid a condolence visit to Sakshi Kamble's house. After this visit, Neelam Gorhe will meet the Superintendent of Police.

In this case, Sakshi's mother had written a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as her brother, seeking justice. Against this backdrop, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Sakshi's mother Koyna Kamble on Monday over the phone and reassured her and assured her of justice. "I have spoken to the Superintendents of Police of Beed and Dharashiv districts and have also discussed with the divisional IGs. The guilty will not be forgiven, appropriate and strict action will be taken against them," Shinde clarified.

Sakshi Kamble was studying in the third year of Arts at KSK College, Beed. The suspect, Abhishek Kadam, is accused of molestation and blackmailing. Although the police arrested Kadam, he was later granted bail. Sakshi's wedding was scheduled for April 20, but a few days before that, she decided to end her life.

After Sakshi's suicide, her mother wrote a letter to the Deputy Chief Minister demanding justice. The letter also made serious allegations that two more students had committed suicide. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Women's Commission has intervened, and Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe, as well as Women's Commission member and Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi district president Sangeeta Chavan are constantly in touch with the Kamble family.

The Deputy Chief Minister has expressed confidence that the entire matter will be thoroughly investigated and the culprits will be severely punished, and has indicated that the state government is ready to take immediate action in this matter.
