In the state, the Revenue Department has been implementing a series of impactful decisions for the past few days. Now, the Revenue Department has made another significant decision. According to this, there will no longer be a need to rely on the village officer for agricultural documents. Because 7/12, 8-A, and mutation extracts will now be legally validated digitally by the Revenue Department.

What is the exact decision?

A major decision has been taken by the state government's revenue department. Now, digital 7/12, 8-A, and mutation extracts will be legally validated accordingly. Citizens and farmers will not need to rely on village clerks for this. The state's Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has announced this decision. He has made a post about it on his social media handle on X. Bawankule has stated that under the guidance of Honorable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Maharashtra government has made a historic decision to validate digital 7/12, 8-A, and mutation extracts legally in the revenue department.

This decision will now make the following things possible, including:

• Official recognition for digital 7/12

• Official extract available for just ₹15

• No need for the talathi's signature-stamp

• Digital signature, QR code, and 16-digit verification number for 7/12, 8-A, and mutation extracts

• Fully valid for all government, semi-government, banking, and judicial work

This decision writes a new chapter of convenience, transparency, and speedy service for farmers, landowners, and ordinary citizens. I am confident that the people of the state will welcome this decision. It is another big step towards digital Maharashtra.
