Local food will now be available to passengers on the Vande Bharat Train. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has instructed that local dishes should be made available to passengers on the Vande Bharat Train in the future. Meanwhile, a meeting of Vaishnaw with railway officials was held at the Railway Bhavan on Saturday. During this time, he gave these instructions. Minister of State for Railways and Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu was present at this meeting.
In the Vande Bharat train, local food will gradually be made available on all trains after the start of meals. Currently, passengers in the northern Vande Bharat train are being served the same meal. In the southern train, local meals like idli, vada, sambar, upma, medu vada, and pongal are being served. Introducing passengers to local meals will enhance their experience, allowing them to taste the culture of each region.
The effective results of the actions taken by Indian Railways against those booking railway tickets using fake IDs have been visible for a few days, the central ministers also said. After implementing a strict system to establish user IDs and detect fake IDs, approximately 5,000 new user IDs are being created daily on the IRCTC website. Meanwhile, the central minister and state ministers have instructed officials to improve the ticketing system so much that all passengers can easily book tickets using genuine and honest user IDs.
