How to change the address in the passport? (Online Process)

1) Visit www.passportindia.gov.in. 2) Click on ‘New User Registration’ to create a new account and log in. 3) Select the option ‘Apply for Fresh Passport / Reissue of Passport’ and click on the ‘Reissue’ option. Next, select ‘Change in Existing Personal Particulars’ under reasons. 4) Now enter the ‘New Address’ as per your address proof. 5) Upload the proof of the new address (Aadhaar card, electricity bill, etc.). 6) Now pay the fee. (1500 rupees for a 36-page passport and 2000 rupees for a 60-page passport.) After this, book an appointment at the Passport Seva Kendra or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra. 7) On the day of your appointment, keep the ‘Appointment Receipt, original passport, self-attested copy of your new address proof, two photos’ with you. 8) If you have relocated to a new city, police verification may be required. 9) After verification, your new passport will be sent to your address via ‘Speed Post’.

Processing Time
