Piyush Goyal On GST: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal welcomed the new GST reforms, calling them a 'game changer'. He stated that these reforms will directly benefit every consumer in the country and the industry sector should fully deliver this to the people.

Goyal was speaking at the India MedTech Expo 2025 event. He stated that this GST reform is extremely important in the context of various tax reforms implemented over the past 11 years. It will have a positive impact on many sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry, farmers, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME). He clarified that every stakeholder and every consumer in the country will benefit from these reforms. In particular, the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries will receive new encouragement from this.

Goyal further stated that these reforms are not limited to short-term benefits but will play a decisive role in India's journey to becoming a developed country by 2047. He also urged the industrial sector to ensure that the full impact of these benefits reaches the consumers.
