Rain Alert : Possibility of Heavy Rain in Maharashtra; Warning in 11 Districts
In the state, significant fluctuations in the weather have been observed over the past few days. Cool mornings, hot afternoons, and cloudy evenings have led to changing conditions, and once again, there is a forecast for unseasonal rain. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for 11 districts in the state, predicting light to moderate rain with thunderstorms on Tuesday.
Which districts will have rain?
On February 24, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in the districts of Solapur, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Satara, Dharashiv, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli. In many parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha, changes in the atmosphere have been noticeable since Sunday night. On February 23, light showers occurred in some places, and even today, the density of clouds appears to have increased. The moisture coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, as well as the rise in local temperatures, has created instability in the atmosphere. Due to this, rain clouds with thunderstorms are forming, and heavy showers may fall in some areas.
Warning Bell for Farmers
This unseasonal rain is feared to affect farmers the most. Currently, the harvesting of crops from the Rabi season is underway in many areas. If rain occurs while onions, wheat, and other crops are stored in the fields or open spaces, it can cause significant damage.
What Precautions to Take?
Immediately store harvested crops in a safe and covered place.
Maintain proper drainage systems in the fields.
Keep an eye on weather updates.
Avoid staying in open areas during lightning.
Considering the possibility of rain, it is necessary for citizens and farmers to remain alert. These sudden changes in weather can also affect daily life. Therefore, the next 24 hours will be important, and everyone is focused on whether showers will occur in their district.
