Ravindra Chavan : ‘Power of the Grand Alliance over all Municipal Corporations in the State’, BJP State President's Confidence
The voting process for the general elections of 29 municipal corporations in the state has started today, and the entire state is focused on who will win in this election. Against this backdrop, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan has made a big claim, expressing firm confidence that the mayor in all 29 municipal corporations in the state will be from the grand alliance.
For the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation elections, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan exercised his right to vote this morning. After voting, he interacted with the media. Speaking on the occasion, Ravindra Chavan said that under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the grand alliance has campaigned vigorously across the state. Claiming that this campaign has received a great response from the public, he stated, “We are fully confident that the mayor of the grand alliance will be seated in 29 municipal corporations in the state.”
Ravindra Chavan further said that the grand alliance has presented its stance to the public with the issues of development, stability, and good governance. He expressed confidence that the grand alliance will work concretely on issues like infrastructure, basic problems of citizens, cleanliness, water supply, and transportation. He claimed that the voters have also shown trust in this development agenda, which will be reflected in the results.
Meanwhile, a fierce contest is being witnessed between the grand alliance and the Maha Vikas Aghadi for the elections of 29 municipal corporations in the state. In some places, both alliances have formed coalitions to contest the elections, while in some municipal corporations, constituent parties have entered the fray independently. Therefore, the political equations in each city appear to be different.
In particular, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation election has become more attention-grabbing this year. In Mumbai, the political atmosphere has heated up as MNS chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) chief Uddhav Thackeray have announced an alliance. As a result, it appears that there will be a triangular contest between the Grand Alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi, and the Thackeray brothers' alliance in Mumbai. The results of the elections for 29 municipal corporations in the state will be announced tomorrow, January 16, and the entire state is keenly watching to see how true the Grand Alliance's claim turns out to be.
