Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Mumbai tomorrow (October 29). Around 4:00 PM on Wednesday, he will address the 'Maritime Leaders Conclave' at the 'India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025' organized at the Nesco Exhibition Center in Goregaon (East). Additionally, the Prime Minister will preside over the Global Maritime CEO Forum. This event is set to be the largest maritime gathering globally, bringing together various key stakeholders from the maritime sector, leading to extensive traffic restrictions in the area.

The five-day 'India Maritime Week' international maritime conference, based on the theme 'Sustainable Maritime Growth and Blue Economy Strategies', was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with a lamp lighting ceremony on Monday (27th). The aim of this conference is to establish India as a global maritime power, and Prime Minister Modi will discuss topics such as port infrastructure, green shipping initiatives, and strengthening the supply chain.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Modi's program, the Mumbai Traffic Police have implemented temporary traffic restrictions and route changes in the Jogeshwari-Goregaon area. These restrictions will be in effect daily from 8 AM to 10 PM during the period from October 27 to 31, as reported by 'Mid-Day'.

'No-Entry' Zone

General vehicles will be prohibited from entering the route from Mrinalatai Gore Junction to Nesco Gap.

Only emergency service vehicles, VIP convoys, and local residents will be allowed entry.

The right turn from Mrinalatai Gore Junction towards Nesco Gap via Ram Mandir Road will be completely closed.

The service road from Hub Mall to Jaycoach (Nesco) Junction will remain closed to traffic.

One-way Traffic System

The route from Nesco Gap to Mrinaltai Gore Junction will now remain one-way.

Alternative Route

For vehicles coming towards Ram Mandir

Use the alternative route via Mrinaltai Gore Flyover - Mahananda Dairy Western Express Highway (South Service Road) - Jaycoach Chowk - Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) Chowk.

For those coming from JVLR Chowk

Proceed towards Powai via JVLR, or use the service road to access the main road towards the Western Express Highway (WEH).

4. Western Express Highway Service Road (Both North and South sides)

5. Trauma Care Hospital Service Road

The Mumbai Traffic Police have appealed to citizens to comply with these restrictions and urged them to obtain information from official Mumbai Police social media handles or the traffic helpline for real-time updates.
