New details have emerged in the Mundhwa land scam case in Pune. It has been revealed that Sheetal Tejwani obtained power of attorney for the land from as many as 275 people. The police have issued notices for inquiry to all these individuals, and some appeared on Monday, but they have taken the stance of providing their statements later.
The Economic Offenses Wing is investigating this transaction. During the purchase and sale of government lands in Mundhwa, there is an allegation that Amedia Enterprises avoided stamp duty. It has also come to light that Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, is a partner in this company.
The signatures of Sheetal Tejwani and company partner Digvijaysingh Patil are on the documents executed at the sub-registrar's office in Bavdhan. In this case, a crime has been registered against Tejwani, Patil, and sub-registrar Ravindra Taru.
