Pune Police Arrest Notorious Gangster Tipu Pathan Under MCOCA

Pune Police took action under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against notorious criminal Rizwan alias Tipu Sattar Pathan and his six accomplices in the case of forcibly grabbing a plot of land from a woman in Sayyadnagar, Hadapsar.

Tipu Pathan, 34, a resident of Khwaja Manzil, Syednagar, Hadapsar, has serious criminal cases of murder, extortion, criminal intimidation and terrorizing registered against him. In this incident, he and his accomplices had threatened a woman and tried to forcibly occupy her land. A complaint has been filed in this regard at Kalepadal police station.

After conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, Senior Police Inspector Mansingh Patil of Kalepadal Police Station recommended MCOCA. This recommendation was accepted by Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil and Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde (Zone 5) and Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar approved the implementation of MCOCA.
