Raj Thackeray : Raj Thackeray to Sweep Through Entire Mumbai in Municipal Elections
The political atmosphere in the state is currently heated for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. The focus of current leaders, workers, and ordinary voters is now centered on the BMC elections. There is curiosity everywhere to see who will win in the 227 wards of Mumbai and who will dominate the municipal headquarters.
Possible Alliance of Thackeray Brothers
The important reason making this election special is the potential alliance between Raj Thackeray (MNS) and Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena UBT). Currently, the leaders of both parties are in contact with each other, and it is reported that the alliance talks have reached the final stage. While the official announcement of this alliance is still pending, Raj Thackeray himself will be actively campaigning in Mumbai.
Raj Thackeray's Tours
In the backdrop of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, Raj Thackeray will be present in the eastern suburbs and South Mumbai on December 20, 2025. Along with visiting MNS election offices, he will also inaugurate new branches.
Further, on December 21, he will tour 8 assembly constituencies in the western suburbs, where he will visit MNS branches in Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Dahisar, Borivali, Magathane, Kandivali, and Dindoshi constituencies. The party sources have stated that MNS will particularly focus on non-Marathi constituencies.
Shiv Sena's Campaign for Mahayuti
While MNS is preparing for the elections itself, Shiv Sena Ubhata Party has devised a comprehensive strategy for Mahayuti's victory. Interviews are underway to select candidates in all 227 wards of Mumbai. Shiv Sena officials will be given the responsibility to campaign and ensure victory for the ally party candidates. Trusted sources from the party have stated that the target is set to win more than 150 seats for Mahayuti.
Shiv Sena UBT's New Strategy
In the backdrop of the municipal elections, a different strategy has been devised by Shiv Sena's UBT party. While testing candidates, nearly 70% of new and young faces will be given an opportunity. As a result, many young leaders from the Yuva Sena will be included in the elections, increasing the party's representation with the new generation. Political analysts say that in Mumbai, due to the Thackeray brothers' alliance, political equations could change significantly, while Shiv Sena UBT's new strategy will make this battle extremely challenging for the grand alliance's victory.
