Popular actress and model Shefali Jariwala, widely known as the "Kanta Laga Girl", passed away suddenly on Saturday due to cardiac arrest, leaving the entertainment industry and her fans in deep shock and grief.

The 41-year-old actress's sudden demise took everyone by surprise. Following her last rites, her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, immersed her ashes and performed all the final rituals. Overcome with emotion, Tyagi broke down during the ceremony. Meanwhile, a new revelation has emerged from the ongoing police investigation regarding the exact cause of her death.

According to the preliminary report from the police, Shefali Jariwala died due to a sudden drop in blood pressure, which ultimately led to a cardiac arrest. She had been undergoing aesthetic treatments to maintain her youth and appearance, and police recovered two supplements — Vitamin C and glutathione tablets — from her residence.

A day prior to her death, a Satyanarayan Puja was held at her home, attended by her parents. Shefali observed a fast during the ritual. The following day, she reportedly consumed leftover food from the refrigerator, which may have contributed to her physical discomfort.

Police believe that the combination of fasting, consumption of stale food, and fatigue from the previous day’s events weakened her condition. The intake of supplements might have also played a role. Her blood pressure suddenly dropped, causing her to faint and suffer cardiac arrest. Despite being rushed to Bellevue Hospital by her husband, Shefali was declared dead on arrival.

Investigating officers have recorded statements from all family members, including Parag Tyagi, and found no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. Currently, a case of accidental death has been registered by the police.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in the early 2000s with her appearance in the iconic music video "Kanta Laga", and had also participated in several reality shows including Bigg Boss. Her untimely demise marks a tragic loss for her fans and the entertainment industry.
